A new preview for FX’s The League is allowing Timothy Olyphant to show off his culinary skills—though Ruxin (Nick Kroll) and Kevin (Stephen Rannazzisi) don’t seem particularly impressed.
Olyphant (Justified) guest stars as a sushi chef from Omaha, Neb., who inexplicably speaks with a Japanese accent. Ruxin and Kevin call him out on this.
“It’s because I’m white,” he says when confronted. “Arigato…racist?”
The creative talent behind The League hinted earlier this month there’d be some tension between Olyphant’s character and the rest of the gang on the episode, “The Freeze Out.”
“Timothy Olyphant as the white sushi chef is great,” League co-creator Jackie Marcus Schaffer told THR earlier this month. “Super funny,” added her husband and fellow co-creator, Jeff Shaffer.
The League airs next Thursday at 10:30 p.m. on FX. Watch the video below (
unfortunately the video is only available within the United States).
Timothy Olyphant shows off his psychic skills, which work best if you predict someone has something super-obvious.

Last night, Justified star Timothy Olyphant appeared on Conan and surmised that he was not nominated for a Golden Globe due to his romantic pasts with several of the journalists in the Hollywood Foreign Press, and then shared the pretty hilarious speech he would have read had he won an award.
