‘Justified’ season 5 adds Alicia Witt, Edi Gathegi
Justified has cast Alicia Witt and Edi Gathegi in its upcoming fifth season.
Prison Break’s Michael Rapaport will join the FX drama as crime lord Dale Crowe, a new nemesis for Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant).
Witt (The Mentalist) will play Dale’s sister Wendy, a paralegal who enjoys a flirtatious relationship with Raylan, Deadline reports.
Gathegi (X-Men: First Class) is cast as Dale’s henchman Jean Baptiste, a former member of the Haitian secret police turned merciless criminal.
Jere Burns – who has played the scheming Wynn Duffy on Justified since the show’s first season – has also been promoted to series regular status for the fifth season.
Walton Goggins – who also stars as Boyd Crowder – recently told Digital Spy that he is “very excited” for the new season, promising that the latest episodes will not “disappoint”.
Justified will return to FX in January 2014.

Timothy Olyphant to Guest-Star on “The Mindy Project”
Mindy Lahiri is one lucky lady.Timothy Olyphant will guest-star on The Mindy Project as yet another hunk wooing the lovelorn doctor, The Los Angeles Times reports.The Justified star will play Graham Logan, “a wild, professional skateboarder in his mid-40s who nearly runs Mindy (Mindy Kaling) over in Union Square before asking her out on a date.”See Robin Williams, Michael J. Fox and more familiar faces returning to fall TVOlyphant’s episode will air early in The Mindy Project’s second season, which premieresTuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox. James Franco, Chloe Sevigny, Anders Holm, Bill Hader, Kris Humphries, Glenn Howerton, The National and Adam Pally will also guest-star this season.

Timothy Olyphant to Lead “The Man on Carrion Road”
Atlas Independent, the affiliate company of Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment and Relativity International, the newly formed international division of Relativity Media are pleased to announce a two picture deal in which Atlas Independent will produce and Relativity International will co-finance and sell internationally. The first film of the two will be the Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego helmed The Man on Carrion Road. Relativity International, led by President Camela Galano, will commence international sales at Cannes.
Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego (Apollo 18) will direct The Man on Carrion Road based on rising screenwriter, Nils Lyew’s, script. Timothy Olyphant is currently attached to star. William Green and Aaron Ginsburg of Atlas Independent will produce. Atlas’ Andy Horwitz will executive produce. Atlas Independent is also currently in post-production on Lopez-Gallego’s feature, Open Grave.
“The Man on Carrion Road” is the visceral story of a botched Mexican cartel deal in the back roads of a border town. The town’s new sheriff (played by Olyphant) must team up with the retired lawman he replaced to investigate the source of the deal in order to stop a mysterious cartel butcher and his systematic brutalization of the town’s residents. A gritty and modern thriller, The Man on Carrion Road collides head on with the pathos and hard realities that inhabit life along the border; it’s a story that explores the ambitions, difficulties, and consequences that turn men into monsters and monsters into reality.
“The Man on Carrion Road” will start production at the end of August in Medellin, Columbia.
