    The Grinder Spoilers: Timothy Olyphant returns as Rake Grinder

    Timothy Olyphant to return as guest star on the hit American single-camera comedy television series The Grinder. Rake replaces Dean in show The Grinder signaling an on-screen rivalry between brothers Dean and Rake on the series’ Episode 9.

    Episode 9 entitled ‘Grinder Rests in Peace’, Dean Sanderson, Jr. (Rob Lowe) receives instruction from The Grinder spin-off series to bid goodbye to a character mostly associated to him – Mitch Grinder. According to Spoilers Guide, the cherished and favorite Mitch Grinder of Dean will be replaced by his show brother Rake Grinder whom Timothy Olyphant will play. Dean gets jealous and has a hard time accepting his “defeat” over Rake.

    The Grinder Episode 9 entitled ‘Grinder Rests in Peace’ airs on 1 December 2015 at Fox.

    Timothy Olyphant and Will Forte Tackle Hunger PSA

    COMPETING FOR A CAUSE … Timothy Olyphant (USC, ’90) and Will Forte (UCLA, ’93) filmed two laugh-out-loud PSAs for the L.A. Regional Food Bank’s “Tackle Hunger” text-to-give campaign (a “competition” to see which school can raise the most to help end hunger), playing on the Jumbotron at the legendary, cross-town rivalry college football game Nov. 28 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

    Who Is Timothy Olyphant on ‘The Grinder’?

    In The Grinder episode “Giving Thanks, Getting Justice,” Dean Sanderson (Rob Lowe) uncovers a family secret while preparing for Thanksgiving dinner. The secret causes Dean to have flashbacks about his old show The Grinder and fellow actor Timothy Olyphant, who plays himself. In one flashback on the beach, Dean tells Timothy about the show wanting him to go shirtless on camera. Timothy tells Dean “you’re not a piece of meat.” Soon after The Grinder was cancelled.

    Timothy Olyphant, who could pass as a Sanderson brother btw, is best known for his roles on Justified (Raylan Givens), The Office (Danny Cordray), Damages (Wes Krulik) and Deadwood (Seth Bullock). Olyphant is currently filming Garry Marshall’s funny film Mother’s Day (out April 29, 2016) starring Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts. The Grinder airs Tuesdays at 8:30pm on Fox.

    Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Event Draws Usual Big Names!

    For 26 years, Chris Evert has brought celebrities and tennis pros to Delray Beach to play and raise money and, this weekend, she’s continuing the tradition with big names like American Pie actor Jason Biggs, tennis great Martina Navratilova, Oasis‘ love rat Gavin Rossdale, Growing Pains’ Alan Thicke and Chelsea Lately’s Chelsea Handler.

    Saturday started out with four matches that mixed celebrities and tennis pros at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. And celebs even took turns umpiring: Funny man Dennis Miller called the shots during the second match!

    Evert looked every bit the elegant hostess in a one sleeved dress with a cut out across her chest.

    Incidentally, Evert appears to be single still years after she divorced ski hall-of-famer Andy Mill to marry, then divorce, golf great Greg Norman.

    Gala tickets were $750 each.

    The event is to raise money for Florida families to help them keep their children drug and neglect free.

    The weekend event continues today with matches and culminates with a match that pits Rossdale and Evert against Deadwood‘s Timothy Olyphant and Navratilova.

    Jon Lovitz will be the umpire.

    Timothy Olyphant in ‘The Grinder’

    The actor is making his first post-Justified television appearance in the Fox comedy starring Rob Lowe and Fred Savage. He’ll play fellow actor and “frenemy” to Lowe’s character, Dean Sanderson, in the Thanksgiving episode, ‘Giving Thanks, Getting Justice.’

    In the half-hour series, the Parks and Recreation alum portrays one of TV’s most popular lawyers who decides to move back to his hometown of Boise, Idaho and join his real-life attorney brother Stewart (Savage) at his firm, despite having no actual degree or license to practice law.

    Lowe tweeted the news out Friday morning:

    The Grinder premieres Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.
