Alien FX TV series sets multi-season plans

Via Geek Culture: The Alien TV series is officially in production at FX says director Noah Hawley (Fargo) in an interview with Collider, after the SAG-AFTRA strikes delayed work on the show in late August 2023. With the first season in production, Hawley shared that the series has already been greenlit to become a recurring series instead of a limited series.

Filming will take place in Thailand, and while the series was originally expected to arrive in 2024, a delayed start could mean a 2025 release instead.

FX, the studio behind the project, expressed that they trust Hawley’s direction for the series, and “the story itself can drive how long it is. We want quality, not quantity. I knew that their desire was for a recurring series, not a limited series, and I had an idea that I was excited about, that I could see the escalation of it from one year to another.”
